Cery Scotthobbs sought an unconventional glossy editorial shoot for her online jewellery store, combining creative experimentation with high-quality close-up product shots. For this project, we embraced a playful dessert aesthetic showcasing earrings and rings in dining scenes with syrup, adding a glossy, unexpected twist. My role was to lead the creative direction, ensuring the shoot aligned with Cery’s vision by carefully selecting props and providing clear, concise guidance.
Fashion Editorial Photography
Exploring fashion editorial art direction, the brief challenged us to focus on styling, lighting, and overall creative direction within a small, minimalist studio. With limited garments and props, I took inspiration from school yearbook photography, experimenting with a pair of tights to create a unique glazed filter effect. This approach allowed for bold, inventive visuals that stood out despite the strict, confined space and resources. This brief provided the opportunity to experiment with skills like retouching and colour correction.
