Reconnected Network, 2023
Reconnected Network, 2023 is a self-made visual publication that delves into the collision between technological over-consumption and the social media-saturated realities of modern life. Inspired by personal engagement with platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, the project captures the essence of today’s Internet culture through curated screenshots of viral content. The objective of this publication was to explore the internet as an overwhelming and immersive digital landscape, making this project a perfect playground for experimenting with bold design aesthetics. Elements like pixelation and blurred filters evoke a sense of disconnection, further enhanced through a nostalgic use of pixel-inspired typography.
Squelch Magazine, 2023
Squelch Magazine, 2023 is a dynamic creative collaborative magazine that started as a passion project and later evolved into a centrepiece of my MA work. Issue 1, Everyday, is a celebration of the seemingly mundane, transforming the repetitive routines of daily life into something engaging. Partnering with photographer Sandwich New-Hampshire, we drew inspiration from Buffalo Zine to capture the beauty of liminal spaces and personal items, injecting them with editorial campy flair. My contributions spanned from design and layout to the creation of our 3D chrome logo for the cover, ensuring a polished yet experimental aesthetic. Working closely with a photographer has significantly enriched my artistic direction and photography practice, elevating the creative vision for the entire project.
